- Raw Shrimp – (extra large 26/30), peeled, deveined, tail on
- White Onion – diced
- Garlic – minced
- Chili Powder – super easy-to-find ingredient that you probably already have on hand
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Salt – I prefer kosher salt
- Black Pepper – ground black pepper
- Lime Zest – adds amazing flavor
- Lime Juice – freshly squeezed
What Tools Do I Need?
- Microplane/Zester/Grater – for zesting your lime
- Plastic Zip-Top Bag – for marinating the ingredients
- Baking Sheet – I prefer to line my baking sheet, but this is optional

This recipe is absolutely low-carb and keto-friendly. Each serving contains just 5 net grams of carbohydrates. To make things even better, this recipe is also paleo, gluten-free and Whole30 compliant!
How Do I Make Chili Lime Shrimp
First you’ll need to do your prep. This includes:
- Making sure the shrimp is thawed, peeled, deveined. I prefer to leave the tail on, but you can discard the tails if you wish
- Dicing the onion and mincing the garlic
- Zesting and juicing the limes
Instructions
- To a large plastic zip-top bag, add the shrimp, diced onion, garlic, chili powder, extra virgin olive oil, salt, black pepper, 2 teaspoons lime zest, and 1/4 cup lime juice.
- Squeeze the bag to mix the ingredients well, and allow to marinate for 30 minutes.
- After 20 minutes have passed, preheat oven to 400° F.
- After 30 minutes, pour the contents of the bag onto a lined baking sheet and place into the oven. Cook for 10 minutes.Upon removing the shrimp from the oven, top with additional lime zest and juice.

- 1 pound Raw Shrimp (extra large 26/30), peeled, deveined, tail on
- ½ cup White Onion, diced
- 1 Garlic Clove, minced
- 1 tablespoon Chili Powder
- 1 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper, cracked
- 3 teaspoons Lime Zest, divided
- 1/4 cup + 2 teaspoons Lime Juice, freshly squeezed, divided
