The only thing that stands between you and this simple & easy, refreshing keto cocktail is about ten minutes. That and a quick trip to the liquor store if you don’t keep your home bar stocked, as we tend to do in this house. But seriously – stock your home bar!
This margarita doesn’t use any fancy techniques, ingredients, or sweeteners – just silver tequila, jalapeños, freshly squeezed lime juice, and a bit of lime-flavored sparkling water. Oh, and ice! Rimming the glass in Tajín is optional, but absolutely delicious.
What Ingredients Do I Need?

- Fresh Lime Juice
- Jalapeño Slices, seeds included
- Silver Tequila
- Lime Sparkling Water, unsweetened
- Tajín
- Ice Cubes
How to Make an Easy Keto-Friendly Margarita

- You’ll start by adding the lime juice, jalapeño pepper slices, and tequila to a cocktail shaker. Give it a good shake, and then set aside for about ten minutes. This step will allow the heat and flavor from the pepper to infuse. The longer it sits, the stronger the flavor will be.
- Next, rim two drinking glasses with Tajín or margarita salt.
- You’ll then fill each glass, about halfway, with ice.
- The next step is to strain half the contents of the cocktail shaker into each glass.
- You’ll then top each glass off with lime-flavored, unsweetened sparkling water. You may also use a diet soda variety such as diet 7 Up or Sprite Zero for extra sweetness.
- Garnish with extra lime and jalapeño slices, and you’re good to go!
