Peace, family.
Don’t you love when a meal is quick enough for a busy weeknight, but bursting with amazing flavor? This healthy dish is all of that and more. It’s done in less than 30 minutes and requires just one pan to make. Listen. If you’ve never eaten radishes then you’re in for a real treat, especially if you’re watching your carbs. They’re similar to potatoes in taste and texture, but pack a major nutritious punch. Once you taste them, you’ll wonder why you didn’t try them sooner. Especially once you’ve had them bathed in lemon, garlic, butter and herbs.
But let’s be real for a second. The main draw in this dish is the delicious Akaushi Beef and Pork Smoked Sausage from HeartBrand Beef. I simply cannot convey to you how good it is. Okay, actually I can. My husband and I are regulars at a local meat market here in San Antonio that sells HeartBrand Beef, and he is a loyal, long-time fan of their steaks. Therefore, when they reached out about sponsoring this post, I knew that it would be a natural fit for the blog since it’s a brand we already use, know, and trust.
When I received this smoked sausage, I knew right away that I wanted to make a simple meal that didn’t overpower the beef flavor so that I could showcase the quality and how tasty it truly is. By now you’re probably asking what the heck makes Akaushi beef so special. I’m going to tell you.

Are Radishes Keto-Friendly?
One pound of radishes contains about 15 grams of carbohydrates and 7.3 grams of fiber, making the net carb count 7.7 grams. Radishes are very low in carbs when compared to other root vegetables and absolutely suitable for a keto lifestyle.
Radishes are closely related to other low-carb vegetables we know and love including
- Cabbage
- Cauliflower
- Kale
- Broccoli
- Mustard greens.
Instructions
Start with one pound of clean radishes.
Cut the radishes into wedges, making them roughly the same size. Some will need to be halved, while others will be cut into quarters.
Prepare your seasonings and aromatics:
- butter
- diced onion
- minced garlic
- freshly chopped herbs (rosemary & thyme)
- kosher salt
- black pepper
- freshly squeezed lemon juice
Melt the butter in a skillet over medium high heat, until it begins to slightly sizzle.
Next, you’ll toss in your onion, garlic, and herbs. Stir those around the skillet with a rubber spatula as they cook down and begin to brown.
Add the radish wedges to your skillet along with a little salt and pepper. Stir until the radishes are well coated in the butter, garlic, and herbs. Allow them to continue cooking over medium heat, stirring frequently, until tender. This will take anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes.
In the meantime, cut your smoked sausage into ¼ inch slices. And set aside.
After the radishes have cooked for about 15 minutes, push them all to one side of your skillet, and add the smoked sausage. Allow the smoked sausage to heat for about 2-3 minutes per side. If your skillet is not large enough, you may opt to temporarily remove the radish wedges and set them aside until the sausage has heated, then add them back to the skillet again.
When the smoked sausage is done and the radish wedges are tender, hit everything with a big squeeze of lemon juice and toss well.
As usual, try it out and let me know what you think! And don’t forget to visit our sponsor HeartBrand Beef.

I love radishes, so I buy them often just to keep on hand. This time they were starting to get old, so I searched for recipes to use them and ran across yours. It was DELICIOUS! The salty smokiness from the sausage coupled with the tangy radishes, I’ll be making this more often!
